August 16, 2008 7pm at the Highland Conference in Southside:
Rhythm N Motion dance studio presents The Vulcan Performers-"I remember the 90s -Retro Rewind dance show", Speed Date N Dance, and a social dance to benefit Susan G Komen foundation on August 16 7pm at the Highland Conference in Southside. All proceeds are to benefit the charity.
The show will consist of local professional dancers in ballroom, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, Bboy street, and more featuring hit music from the 90s! Special Guest MC - Bettina Boateng from NBC 13 News!
After the 1hr show, a Speed Date N Dance will be run. Speed Date N Dance has been featured by NBC locally and is the hottest way to meet singles in the Birmingham area. Learn a new dance style and meet fun people! Non singles are welcome to join in for the free hustle lesson.
After the show and the lesson, a west coast swing, hustle, latin party will follow.

Rhythm N Motion Dance and The Vulcan Performers have produced 5 professional shows in the Birmingham area and also have been featured performers for Rave Theaters, Bravo Arts Festival, and other local exhibitions. They have been in the Birmingham News, Birmingham Weekly, Over the Mountain Journal, NBC, and other media outlets. They were originally founded in a basement in Mccalla, Al one year ago and are now located in their new Hoover, Al studio.
Artistic Directors and Studio Owners, TJ and Wendy Zito, compete nationally on the open ballroom circuit and are well known for their aerial lifts. TJ is a former Hoover High School wrestler and a graduate of the University of Alabama. Wendy is a former Mardi Gras queen from Mobile and also a University of Alabama Graduate. They live in Mccalla with their two year old son, Jay, and own/operate the studio and dance group. TJ resigned from his career as an industrial sales professional to further promote dance in the Birmingham area.
